If zombies try to take over the city of Purcell in the near future, they’re going to run into a lot of resistance, thanks to the Purcell Public Library.
The library will host a pair of “Zombie Apocalypse Survival” programs later this month, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, and again in an afterschool session at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21.
The Saturday program is for tweens, teens or adults, who will use the zombie theme to give a disaster preparedness lesson, which includes putting together a “bug-out” bag to keep in a safe place for any future disasters, zombie-related or not. Register online or at the library.
There will be more zombie fun in the Tuesday program, with snacks, crafts and games targeted primarily to tweens and teens. No registration required.
