Moore group to discuss “Flight Behavior”

The Moore Reads book discussion group continues its monthly series of discussions at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, in the Conference Room of the Moore Public Library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

This month's book selection will be "Flight Behavior" by Barbara Kingsolver.

The group is for ages 18 and up and generally meets the fourth Thursday of the month. Copies of each month's selected book can be picked up at the library's Information Desk.

Find a great read at Moore’s Reader's Extravaganza

A favorite evening among avid readers returns to the Moore Public Library with its Reader's Extravaganza, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, in Rooms A and B of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

The event is for ages 18 and up and features multiple presentations by librarians on some of their favorite current and upcoming reads in their genres of expertise.

Moore to host teen Sci-Fi Trivia contest

The Moore Public Library invites teens to take part in its Sci-Fi Trivia Competition, at 2 p.m. Monday, July 28, in the Story Time Room of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

It’s a chance for science fiction fans to show off their knowledge of the genre by answering a variety of trivia questions. Winners will receive awards.

Journey into the Whoniverse with Moore program

The Moore Public Library is providing local tweens and teens a Companion’s Guide to the Whoniverse for an adventure they’ll take starting at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

Oklahoma Museum Network representatives are back at the library again to lead the program. They’re bringing several grueling tasks that teens will have to complete before they can be reunited with the Doctor.

Children can be part of Moore's Science Club in July

The Moore Public Library invites local children ages 6-12 to be part of its Science Club this summer.

This will be a three-part series, taking place at 10 a.m. on consecutive Fridays, July 11, 18, and 25, in Rooms A and B of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

Join the Block Party with Moore Lego workshop

It’s time to get creative at the Moore Public Library, with Legos the center of the day at a Block Party, starting at 10 a.m. each Monday in July.

Participants will find all the Legos they need to use their imagination to make a colorful creation. The program is for children ages 6-13.
